What Is A CP12 Record?
A CP12 — Landlord Gas Safety Record is a legal document required under the Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations 1998. Every landlord in England must hold a valid CP12 for every gas appliance in their rental property.

Who Needs a CP12?
Annual Renewal Required
Your CP12 must be renewed every 12 months. A record must be given to existing tenants within 28 days of the check, and to new tenants before they move in.
